Matt Birkinshaw, motion designer, couldn’t wait to get stuck into designing the new title sequence for the BDO Lakeside Darts coverage: “The sequence is heavily influenced by the Captain America ‘The Winter Soldier’ titles in its silhouetted, stylised character approach.

A theme we thought appropriate for the call to arms of the worlds best darts players, gathered together from all 9 regions of the BDO for this prestigious event.

A fast-paced, impactful sequence highlighting some of the biggest hitters in darts seemed the perfect start for darts on its new home, Channel 4.”

And not a sticky beer mat in sight!

I have worked with many Vis FX companies over the years but most recently with JAMFX and the I found the experience to be by far the best.  The most crucial element for me is the communication and I found this to be fantastic.    I was able to speak to our supervisor any time – no problem was too big or small for them to sort.   We were on a very tight deadline and they delivered ahead of time and the work was exemplary.     They are also an incredibly creative company and always felt that they cared about the project and had invested time in understanding what was needed.
 
I know that our whole team from our director to our post producer enjoyed the experience and crucially, plan to work with them again.
